New England Breweries Listed by State

new-england-breweriesOver the years, the US culture about beer has been changing. More and more people are starting to judge, critique it’s quality, learn about the variety and diversity of styles, and learning to pair with it food, much like wine. As with wine, when pairing beer with food, they need to compliment and enhance each others flavors or in some cases, contrast the flavors.

As a beer brewer I like to check out small to mid size breweries and take any tour that they offer. Taking a tour allows me to sample the different beers they offer to determine if I like any of them. New England has many microbreweries to offer. I have not taken all of these tours, but once I do, I will create a post listing my favorites. I have tried several of the beers from many of the breweries and liked most of them.

Below is a list of small to mid size breweries by state. For a few of the breweries, I was unable to determine if they offer tours. My focus of this post was actual breweries, but some brew pubs were included. However, we did list a tavern in Rhode Island that has an extensive list of beers and scotches.

As always, drink responsibly.
